I was looking through pictures/videos and found this nice video that was made last winter. This was a nice weekend we had here in the north and the first time we made some kind of a breeding show together with some horses out of our breeding 
It was very much fun for us. Vissa did not get foal last year so she was inside, Hersir fra Lambanesi was in training in the West & came over to partisipate on the stallionshow and then we took one young mare to just show a bit with them.
Hersir & Vissa are out of Elding f.Lambanesi, so they are brother & sister. Now Hersir is going this summer to Belgium and Vissa & Garún where both by stallion. So first and last time that those horses come together

Last winter we and other five farms in the north part of Iceland had a open day. This was a interesting & good weekend and a good reason to come to the north and visit all of us This was the first time this weekend took place here in the north & will hopefully be every year.

Horse breeders in northern part of Iceland and the riding club Léttir are holding a interesting horse weekend (17-18 apríl). Over this weekend people will get the opportunities to meet and get to know some horse breeders in north part of Iceland, see two horse shows and get inspiration from a Icelandic horse trainer.

Schedule:
On Friday evening the horse weekend will start with a horseshow called „Fákar & Fjör”. Fákar & Fjör is a horseshow with group of mares, stallions, breeding shows, kids and ….On Saturday morning the day will start with demonstration with a Icelandic horse trainer in the riding arena in Akureyri. After the demonstration a bus will be driving to six breeding farms where each farm will give the visitors interesting view on the breeding and what each farm has to offer. On Saturday night evening there will be a stallion show in the riding arena in Akureyri and party afterwards.

Garðshorn á Þelamörk (Lambanes)
Agnar Þór Magnússon & Birna Tryggvadóttir are living in Garðshorn á Þelamörk with their two young kids (Ylva Sól & Dagur Snær), horses, sheeps & dogs. Birna & Agnar have been breeding horses in west part of Iceland for several years and are their breeding named from Lambanes untill now. Last year they moved to the north and will from now on name all their horses from Garðshorn á Þelamörk.They get around 2-5 foals each year and have their old mare, Sveifla f. Lambanesi and her offspring been giving them good horses through the years. Sveifla does not live any more but there are two of her daughters used as breeding mares in Garðshorn today with some others.
Last year They or new owners of horses out of their breeding showed five horses for breedingshows (average age 5,4 years). From all breeders in Iceland their breeding got the highest avergage overall score (8,27) and the highest average for riding ability (8,40) and for that reason they where awarded from the Horse breeders association of Iceland Breeder of the year. „We are pretty proud to be able to tell that our breeding was nominated with 10 best breedingfarms in Iceland 2013. Year later (2014) we got that honor to be awarded as Breeder of the year.”
