Good news from Germany

Aragon f.Lambanesi & Taike Topphoff are doing well in Germany.
Taike got Aragon when he was 4 years old after he was showed in Fizo here in Iceland. She has been working well with him and got Þórður Þorgeirsson to showe him for fizo again two years later after she got him. Aragon got higher score and was the 2nd highest 6year old stallion in Germany that year with over 8,50 for riding abilities. There of 9 for spirit and 9,5 for pace.
Now Aragon is still growing well and Taike has been working well with this fun horse. We liked Aragon right away when he was a foal and brought his mom to Ágústínus f.Melaleiti again. (Aragon´s father) to get a breeding mare. We where lucky and got Aragon´s full sister hier in Iceland that we are using in our breeding.
Here she is with her first offspring out of the world champion Konsert f.Hofi.

Fjórðungsmót á Austurlandi (FM2015)
We went to fjórðungsmót in the east last weekend with 11 horses. 10 breedinghorses and 1 horse for A-flokkur. We where very satisfied with how everything went there. Good horses, good atmosphere and nice people to visit there in the east part.
Our mare Vissa went on her second competition and did got the highest score for pace from all the horses in B-finals
She is a promising competetionhorse and has chartcter that is easy to handle in competition.
The A-flokks horse came to B-finals and many of the breedinghorses did get higher score and many of them where among the highest ones. For those who are looking for some future competition horse then there are some of them for sale. Have a look at the salepage.
From our breed we went with one 4 year old mare that ended up to be the highest one on this show(FM15). We are very happy about that
Garún f.Garðshorni á Þelamörk, 8,26 for gaits there of 9 for spirit. Garún got both 1.pr for conformation and building in group of 4 year old mares.
I´ve put the notes in Icelandic and the name of the horses and some info of there father/mother.
Á mótið fórum við með 10 kynbótahross og eitt hross í A-flokk. A-flokk hryssan endaði í B-úrslitum og af þeim hestum sem við fórum með sem kynbótahross varð niðurstaðan að;
Í flokki 6 vetra stóðhesta var Jarl f.Höskuldsstöðum efstur, Stálasonur með 1.verðl. f. byggingu og hæfileika. Fyrir hæfileika hlaut hann 8,39. Klakinn f.Skagaströnd, Álfssonur kom þar á eftir með mjög háan byggingardóm (8,56) og 8,20 í aðaleinkun.
Í flokki 5 vetra stóðhesta varð annar Megas f. Gauksmýri með 1.verðl. fyrir bæði byggingu og hæfileika. Fyrir hæfileika hlaut Megas 8,49 og í aðaleinkun 8,35. Megas er undan Glym f. Innri-Skeljabrekku og hlaut hann m.a. 9 fyrir skeið og vilja og geðslag. Þriðji var Akur f.Kagaðarhóli, Arðssonur með 1.verðl. fyrir bæði byggingu og hæfileika. Fyrir hæfileika hlaut Akur 8,38 og í aðaleinkun 8,26. Fimmti í röðinni af þeim fimm vetra hestum sem við fórum með var Baldur f.Akureyri, Bragasonur með 1.verðl. fyrir byggingu og hæfileika, 8,08 fyrir hæfileika og 8,06 í aðaleinkun.
Árblakkur f. Laugarsteini var efstur í flokki 4.v stóðhesta með 1.verðl. fyrir byggingu og hæfileika. Fyrir hæfileika hlaut Árblakkur 8,41 og er hann undan Ágústínus f. Melaleiti.
Við fórum svo með fjórar hryssur á mótið og hlaut Jónsmessa f. Gunnarsstöðum í elsta flokki hryssna þriðja sætið með 8,46 fyrir hæfileika, í aðaleinkun 8,26. Nýgína f. hryggstekk 5v. hryssa með 1.verðl. fyrir byggingu og 7,89 í aðaleinkun. Í flokki 4v. hryssna varð efst hryssa úr okkar ræktun Garún f. Garðshorni á Þelamörk með 1.verðl. f. byggingu og hæfileika. F. hæfileika hlaut Garún 8,25 og í aðaleinkun 8,16. Í þriðja sæti í 4v. flokk hryssna varð Kappadóttirin Óskastund f. Kommu með 8,36 fyrir byggingu og 7,93 f.hæfileika (sýnd sem klárhryssa) með m.a. 9 fyrir vilja og geð, í aðaleinkun 8,1.

Over to Finland
Couple of years ago Anki and Freja came to us on our farm in Iceland looking for a competitionhorse for Freja. Freja rode Röskur f. Lambanesi and they fitted very well together so he flew over to Finland couple of days later.
Now latly they lost one of their breedingmare, they contacted us and got from us two interesting breedingmares. Two mares that will get foals this spring. Those mares are Vaka f. Hólabaki and Gloría f. Glóru that we have been using in our breeding here in Iceland. Vaka will get foal with Hersir frá Lambanesi and Gloría will have one from Sólon frá Skáney.

And the foals in their stomach that are also in Finland now are from those two guys....

Höll frá Lambanesi, 5year old on her first competition.Höll og Vænting moved to Germany/ New Breedingname
Two of our mares got new owners and moved to Germany.
After some thoughts about what we would do with the breedingname we decide to change it to the name of our new farm. Garðshorn á Þelamörk, so the first mare named with that breeding went to Germany, Vænting frá Garðshorni á Þelamörk. Vænting means hope, so we hope she will bring new owners much joy in the future. She has a good bloodline from both mother and father. She is daughter of Elding f. Lambanesi that is the mother of Hersir and Vissa frá Lambanesi, both those horses where the highest ones for gaits when they where showed 4 years old. The father of that pretty mare is Hlébarði f.Ketilsstöðum. Congratulate new owners & rider for those interesting mares... Hope we will hear more from them in the future
