Well now it´s time to write some news 
Now the first competition of three of the biggest inside competititon in the west is soon going to start and the spirit here seems to be better & better each year around this competition.
This year will be a big year for horsepeople here in the west. The horseridingclubs here in the west are going to have the Icelandic championship and Fjórðungsmót. Fjórðungsmót is like a big horsefestival with competitionhorses, breeding, horsebreeders show their breeding, music & so on, and then we Icelandic horse people have HM in Berlin, always enough to do ....

We have lot of young horses in training now like most years and they come from diffrent breeders, owners and some out of our own breeding. Here on the picture abowe is Svikahrappur f. Borgarnesi, Svikahrappur is a 1. prise stallion and is in training at our place along with his fullbrother. It is funny to see how diffrent they are, they have totally diffrent charakter, diffrent movements and spirits, they are both son´s of Glymur f.Innri-Skeljabrekku.

I think this story behind this name bit funny, the story behind why Svikahrappur was named Svikahrappur. But in english Svikahrappur means “the cheater”
In the beginning when the owner of Svikahrappur went with his baypinto mare to Glymur (Silverdapple stallion) he was going to breed silver dapple pinto mare. But what out of that breeding came was a black stallion, so that horse was both cheating on the color and the gender and was named for that reason “the cheater” Svikahrappur f.Borgarnesi. But his fullbrother is silver dapple like his father.
In the stables we have some intresting young horses in training what will be fun to see how they will develop, because you can never tell for sure with horses...
Next weekend we have at our place Þorrablót, that is each year in january/february where Icelandic people meet each other and eat together Icelandic traditional food. There we go and eat a lot, drink a lot & have a lot of fun with our neighbours
